How To Win A Field Trip Showcasing America's Most Iconic Locations

As a kid growing up in Montana, there was nothing better than a field trip!

Even if it was just an everyday location, the idea of getting out of class and exploring something new was exhilarating.

This year, Montana students have the ability to take that experience to the next level.

America’s Field Trip

Montana students from 3rd grade to 12th grade have the opportunity to get in on the America Field Trip.

This is a nationwide contest that aims to engage youth and commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

America 250 organizes America's Field Trip.

The organization has been tasked with preparing for the United States for the Semiquincentennial in 2026.

Students chosen for the Americas field trip will visit some of the most iconic and historic landmarks in the United States.

America’s Field Trip Submission

To enter, students can submit artwork, videos, or an essay conveying what America means to them.

The Montana 250th Commission, which is charged with planning and implementing a state program to celebrate the 250th anniversary in 2026, is supporting the nationwide contest.

The contest is open to all students in grades 3 to 12, including homeschooled students.

The content ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on May 17, 2024.

Information on guidelines, rules, teacher resources, and how to submit entries can be found here.
