BEAR STILL ON LOOSE IN CHOTEAU

The town of Choteau continues to deal with at least one Grizzly bear.  A grizzly was spotted Saturday chewing on a dead deer carcass near the rodeo grounds.  Mayor Chris Hindoien says a grizzly was spotted again Yesterday morning on the south end of town.  Workers were able to capture the grizzly in pictures as it moved through an open field.  The pictures we have here are of the actual grizzly. Mayor Hindoien says he thinks the bear in the pictures could be the same bear spotted Saturday.

F-W-P and Sheriff officials went through the area where the bear was last seen with a dog and a drone but nothing turned up.  residents, especially on the south side of town are asked to be on the lookout.

Officials were said to be out again last evening but no reports that the bear was captured.  The hopes are to capture the  bear and relocate if possible.
