Montana’s Biggest Snow Days Ever Recorded
If there's one thing I've been able to confirm what I always knew in my two months of living in Montana, it's that Montanans are tough.
Maybe it's the ranching or farming lifestyles, maybe it's the unpredictable weather, or simply the big sky air... regardless, Montanans are built differently.
Winter Weather in Montana? No Sweat For Montanans!
Seriously though, the colder it gets in Montana, more my Texas starts showing. I can handle extreme heat no problem... but once we start getting the white stuff falling from the sky and get temps in the teens, I bundle up like my life depends on it.

There's no doubt that I'll eventually get acclimated and adjust to the colder temps but for now, I still have to endure my first Montana winter. We got a fun little dusting this past week and I was already busting out my snow boots to the well-deserved laughter from my coworkers.
With all of that being said, even Montanans have seen their fair share of heavy snowfall.
Snowfall Average In Great Falls, Montana
According to the City of Montana's website, "Great Falls receives approximately 58 inches of snow annually" and is "often accompanied by winds in excess of 40 mph and subzero temperatures."
But what about the rest of Montana?

We have the largest snowfalls in the state's history and back in March of 2006, one Montana county received 51.8 inches of snow... in one day.
