It's not often that I can get behind a new regulation or law that Congress or the White House is trying to push.

Some days, it seems that the government is trying to regulate almost every aspect of our lives.

However, a recently proposed regulation called the"Time Is Money" initiative might actually be a solid move!

Have you ever signed up for a subscription to some product or service and later found it almost impossible to cancel?

I can think of a few times that this has happened to me and what a nightmare that can turn into.

I hate to say it, but it almost seems like some companies do this just to keep people paying for a subscription they don't want.

Ultimately, tackling that issue is what this government-wide effort aims to alleviate.

  • Streamlining Health Claims: The Departments of Health and Human Services and Labor are pushing health insurers to allow online claim submissions.
  • Improve Customer Service: The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is initiating rules to simplify reaching human representatives in customer service interactions and reduce automated systems.
