One-Day Hiring Event for Cascade County Sheriff’s Office Coming Up in Great Falls

If you're in the market for a career change, you're in luck. I recently caught up with Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter to talk about an upcoming event that should put jobseekers on notice.

Cascade County Sheriff's Office Hiring Event Coming Up

Last April, Cascade County Sheriff's Office held a hiring event at their location at 3800 Ulm North Frontage Road in Great Falls with check-in happening between 8 AM and 10 AM. Now, Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter has announced another hiring event coming up next month.

On June 27th, jobseekers will have a chance to apply for deputy and detention officer positions and potentially have their hiring process fast-tracked.

According to Cascade County Sheriff's Office's requirements from the last hiring event, applicants will need to bring in their "high school diploma or HISET, valid driver's license/ID, birth certificate, resume, and any applicable certificates or training documentation (preferred but not required)."

Candidates will be required to be a U.S. citizen, be at least 18 years of age, have a good driving record, and get "a complete physical and psychological examination by a licensed physician prior to employment", which will take place at the event according to CCSO.

Among those and other requirements, like a background check and oral interview board, Sheriff Slaughter says there's another important trait they're looking for - integrity.

"My philosophy's always is that we will hire you for your character and we will train you for the job," Sheriff Slaughter said.

"If their integrity is high, the work ethic comes because they see work and they go do it because they're like, 'Well, I need to go fix that' because they see it."
