On Wednesday afternoon, the country came to a standstill as political activist and social media personality, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at his event in Utah. Multiple people in attendance captured the tragedy on their phones, giving the rest of the country a terrifying look at the violence that took place.

Kirk was no stranger to Montana and featured the state heavily during one of his visits back on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
Kirk was visiting Montana in support of Senator Tim Sheehy's campaign.

Senator Tim Sheehy Reacts To Charlie Kirk's Murder
Senator Tim Sheehy, like all of us, was taken back by the news and offered his condolences on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
"This is heartbreaking news," the post read, "Charlie was a good man and a patriot who fought tirelessly to make our country better. The impact of his work on behalf of the conservative movement and to encourage young people to engage in our politics will be felt for generations to come."

"Please join our family in praying for his wife, his children, and all those he inspired across the nation and around the world."
The FBI Announces They Have A "Subject" In Custody
Late Wednesday afternoon, the FBI announced they had a subject in custody whom they believe to be responsible for the tragic shooting:

Regardless of how you feel about politics, like Senator Sheehy says, the man was a husband and father. No one has the right to take another's life just because they disagree with his views.
One of the best things about living America is our ability to practice freedom of speech. It's what makes America one of the greatest nations and literally why we're known as "The Land of the Free" and hopefully, we can continue to practice our freedoms without fearing for our lives.
