Over 475 Pounds of Cocaine Seized at Montana-Canada Border
If I've said it before, I'll say it again: if you're a drug dealer trying to operate in Montana in any capacity, you're going to have a bad time.
This time, it was the folks over in Canada who made a major bust coming in from Montana.
Massive Cocaine Bust at Montana-Canada Border
Canadian officials just announced a major cocaine seizure at the Sweet Grass, MT-Coutts, AB entry point.
"Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers at the Coutts port of entry in southern Alberta intercepted two commercial trucks arriving from the United States and seized a combined 215.5 kg (475.09 lbs.) of suspected cocaine in July 2026," a release from the Canada Border Services Agency said on September 15th.

According to Canadian officials, the first truck they inspected on July 26th contained "80 bricks of cocaine" which authorities say measured 90.94 kg or 200.48 lbs. within four boxes.
Just five days later on July 31st, authorities say they stopped another truck that ended up containing 107 bricks of cocaine which had a weight of 124.6 kg or 274.69 lbs.
The Drug Trade Takes a Major Hit
That's a lot of "Colombian bam bam", am I right?! Now, it's not yet known if the drugs originated from a drug operation in Montana and if I had to guess, I would presume that these traffickers were "passing through."

Still, we don't need that stuff in our state and we definitely don't want our state's Canadian entry points to be "the spot" for drug traffickers.
Shout out to our friends up north for keeping this stuff off the streets!
