Multiple Volunteer Opportunities At First Peoples Buffalo Jump
Despite Mother Nature having a mind of her own recently, the temperatures are slowly but surely starting to climb.
Folks across Montana are itching to get outside and enjoy the weather!
If cabin fever is getting the best of you, here's a great opportunity to help out and enjoy the outdoors at a state park in Central Montana.
Volunteer Opportunity At First People's Buffalo State Park
First People's Buffalo Jump State Park has multiple opportunities to get involved and lend a helping hand.
April 17: Weed Removal Event: On Thursday from 6 PM to 7 PM, volunteers are needed to help remove noxious weeds along the cliffs within the State Park. Volunteers are asked to meet at the visitor center 15 minutes prior to the event. Gloves and water will be provided. However, any volunteers participating in the event should dress accordingly. Close-toed shoes, long-sleeve shirts, and long pants are definitely recommended.
April 22: Earth Day Landscaping Event To help celebrate Earth Day, on Tuesday, April 22, from 4 PM to 6 PM, volunteers are needed to help with a landscaping project at the park. The goal is to beautify the area further and maintain its landscaping.
If you or anyone you know is interested in helping out, volunteers are encouraged to register in advance for either of these events by calling 406-866-2217 or emailing firstpeoplesbuffalojump@mt.gov.
