The conversation about Flock cameras is heating up as the company itself, Flock, has decided to respond to all of the chatter about their tech.

And no, they didn't exactly respond the way many of us expected them to.

I honestly expected the response to be a total defense of what they're doing if I'm being honest. But I was wrong... sort of.

Flock CEO Garrett Langley recently announced changes Flock is making to their cameras but not without first touting the success of his technology.

"Our cameras have provided evidence in over a million criminal investigations and helped first responders rescue tens of thousands of missing people," Langley said.

"In July alone, with the help of our customers, we detected over a thousand missing people and over 20,000 stolen cars."

That sounds great and all but many of us, myself included, still have our reservations.

Flock CEO Garrett Langley apparently picked up on the things being said in comment sections and conversations being had across the country.

"This impact carries a responsibility to build a society that we want our children to grow up in where both safety and privacy can coexist," Langley said, "And look, I've learned a lot over the last 9 years."

"Some of it we learned from our law enforcement customers and some of it by listening to the communities they serve."
