While some of us prefer to enjoy the scenery that the Montana roads provide, others use the roads to express themselves.

And no, I'm not talking about that one-finger salute that some people to like to use more than others on the road. But rather, the ways people use their vehicles to express their views or random thoughts.

Can A Bumper Sticker Be Illegal In Montana?

Most bumper stickers are protected under free speech but there have been some instances where offensive content resulted a charge for disturbing the peace.

On the other hand, there have also been cases where obscene bumper stickers were protected by free speech like the BAKER v. GLOVER when a truck driver successfully defended himself in court for having a sticker that read: "How's My Driving? Call 1-800-EAT-S***!"
