The Great Falls City Commission is now accepting applications for various advisory boards in our community.

Great Falls City County Board of Health

  • Oversees the operation of the Health Department.
  • Consists of seven members.
  • Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m.
  • A three-year term beginning January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027.

Great Falls Ethics Committee

  • Ensure that all City officers and employees adhere to the ethical guidelines.
  • Montana Code Annotated (Title 2, Chapter 2)
  • Official Code of the City of Great Falls (Title 2, Chapter 21).
  • Members must not be City employees and should have experience or training in public administration, governmental operations, political practices, or legal practice.
  • The committee meets on an as-needed basis.
  • Three-year terms.

Mansfield Center for the Performing Arts Advisory Board

  • Advises the City Manager and Commission on operating the Performing Arts Center and Civic Center meeting rooms.
  • Made up of five to seven members
  • Meets on the third Friday of each month at noon.
  • Three-year terms.
  • Two members' terms expire on December 31, 2024.
  • Owen Grubenhoff at (406) 455-8510.

Great Falls Park and Recreation Advisory Board

  • Advise the City Commission and City Manager on all matters related to park and recreation programs.
  • Consists of seven members.
  • Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
  • Three-year terms.
  • Currently, two members’ terms expire on December 31, 2024.

Application Information

To qualify, all applicants must be city residents and registered voters.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, November 8, 2024, at 5 PM.

Applications are available from the City Manager's Office in the Civic Center, Room 201.

Citizens may also request them by calling (406) 455-8450 or downloading them from the City's website in the Advisory Boards section at www.greatfallsmt.net.
