Thursday afternoon, November 14th 2024, Great Falls Fire Rescue responded to a trailer home fire at 3308 Lower River Rd.

Upon arrival, fire crews reported that the trailer was engulfed in smoke and flames, and fire was venting from both the front and the roof.

Quick Arrival by Great Falls Fire Rescue

Great Falls Fire Rescue B platoon was first on the scene.

Fire crews confirmed that all occupants had exited the trailer safely and were accounted for when Engine 1 arrived.

The fire crew with Engine 1 quickly joined the fire battle, and we were able to extinguish the main body of the fire.

Additional support from Engines 2 and Engine 4 helped quickly douse the fire before it could spread to nearby trailers.

Second Alarm and Additional Support

Due to the intensity of the fire, more units were called in for additional assistance.

The Montana Air National Guard and Malmstrom Air Force Base firefighters provided additional coverage while Great Falls crews were battling the fire.

Significant Damage and Assistance for Residents

According to Great Falls Fire Rescue, the trailer home sustained extensive damage and is deemed a total loss.

The American Red Cross steped in to assist the residents affected by the fire.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the fire, and there were no pets inside the trailer at the time of the fire.

Fire Cause Under Investigation

At the time of this article, Great Falls Fire Rescue is still investigating the cause of the trailer home fire.
