If I had a nickel for every time I was scrolling Facebook and came across one of the many Great Falls-focused pages with negative comments about our community, I very likely could have retired by now.

I won't share which page I saw this recent post on, but it involved someone moving to our community.

This person would soon be calling Great Falls home and was asking for advice.

Yes, there were positive responses, but let's be honest; negative comments always seem to carry more weight on social media.

My philosophy in life has always been that instead of complaining about something, we should take steps to remedy the issue.

This falls right in line with our community.

If something about this place bothers you, get involved and make the necessary changes.

And if all else fails, if you don't love it, leave it!

There is already plenty of negativity in this world so why spread more of it?

This may come as a surprise, but numerous people in Great Falls, Montana, love this community and love living here.
