Great Falls police have put in quite a day's work after today, let me tell ya!

According to the updates shared by Great Falls police, law enforcement had their hands full starting late last night before finally wrapping things up this afternoon.

But it wasn't without it's own set of challenges.

Many of us would have assumed that's where things ended... until we saw a post right around lunchtime from Great Falls police in a reported related incident.

"Community members may notice an increased police presence in the 400 block of 10th St N as the Central Montana High Risk Unit (HRU) executes a high-risk search warrant in relation to the incident that occurred near Central Ave and 7th St at approximately 12:20 this morning," police said at around 11:50 AM.

"HRU consists of GFPD officers and Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner's Office deputies."

Great Falls Police Nab a Person of Interest

In a post shared by police later in the day around 2:20 PM, police reported that everything was finally taken care of and wrapped up... for now.

"Lt Fleming reports one person of interest has been taken into custody," Great Falls PD said, "HRU has cleared the scene but detectives may remain on scene for a bit."

"Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we worked to resolve the situation quickly and safely for all."

It sounds like detectives have their work cut out for them but one has to wonder how these two incidents are related. While I would love to speculate, it looks like we'll have to wait and see if more information about the incident is released by authorities.

Thanks again to our first responders for serving our community and keeping us safe.
