Halloween Decorations Are Already On Sale In Montana Stores

It seems that retail stores all across the Treasure State are putting out seasonal decorations earlier and earlier every year.

I was in Missoula over the last few weekends and stopped into Cracker Barrel for some grilled catfish.

I couldn't believe it; Halloween decorations were everywhere.

Literally, there were Halloween decorations before the Fourth of July.

Seasonal Decorating

How early is too early when it comes to seasonal decorations?

You know, in my opinion, it would be nice to enjoy the season we're currently in without planning so freaking far in advance all the time.

At this rate, they'll have Christmas decorations out long before Labor Day.

When To Purchase Seasonal Decorations

What frustrates me the most about this is that when you get around to purchasing seasonal decorations, if you don't buy them six months in advance, there's nothing left.

You'll love this I stumbled across a story about Home Depot the other day.

Evidently, they launched their 2024 Halloween decorations on July 18th.

I have not been by Home Depot to confirm this yet, but honestly, it would not surprise me.

Halloween Spending

According to the National Retail Federation, Americans spent $12 billion on Halloween decorations last year.

That is a staggering 50% increase from 2020 spending.

Are these retail giants trying to capitalize on increased spending?

There has to be some reason that all the retail giants put out seasonal decorations 4 to 6 months in advance.
