When deciding where to live, safety is one of the most important factors. And sure, all of those other things like weather, things to do, and everything else like that still matter.
But, at the end of the day, what we choose to do and how we choose to entertain ourselves depends solely on safe it is.

One of my favorite things about living in Great Falls is the size of Great Falls. It's not that big of an area but it's also not too small. It's just the right size and a majority of the citizens here know each other on a first name basis.

As great as that all sounds, just like anywhere else in the world, crime still exists.
Using information from Neighborhood Scout, we're able to see the crime rate of Great Falls and even the likelihood of being a victim of crime in Great Falls.
For starters, Neighborhood Scout says your chances of becoming a victim of a violent crime are 1 in 177 in Great Falls and 1 in 226 in Montana. That's not too bad, even if Great Falls is only reportedly safer than 2% of U.S. cities according to Neighborhood Scout.
The Chances Of A Property Crime In Great Falls Are High
Unfortunately, we all have a pretty good chance of falling victim to a property crime. According to Neighborhood Scout, we have a whopping 1 in 21 chance of becoming a victim of property crime in Great Falls.
As a whole, the state's numbers don't look that much better with our chances of becoming a victim of property crime in Montana being 1 in 55.
Thankfully, we have some of the best of the best in law enforcement to protect our streets. But, as always, make sure you protect your personal belongings this holiday season and always keep your eyes peeled.
