Concerns Over Energy And Water Use From Data Centers
And honestly, it shouldn’t be that surprising. All of our digital lives have to run somewhere.
These are the buildings that keep everything going: checking emails, streaming shows, posting online, with all of it in one place.

How Many Data Centers Are In Montana Cities
Here in Montana, what actually surprised me was how many places already have data centers, and in some cases, more than one.
Bozeman has 1.
Butte has 1.
Helena has 1.
Missoula has 2, with one up and running and another planned.
Billings has 5, four operational and one planned.
And then there’s Great Falls, which at one point had 20 planned, but it appears those plans have fallen through.
Still, what do you think about all this? Are data centers just part of the deal as we keep moving deeper into a digital world, or is it time to start pulling back a bit? Let me know on the app or shoot me an email.
