Montana, Here’s When Daylight Saving Time Ends This Year
When Does Daylight Saving Time End in Montana?
Now that our kids are back in school, my son asked me this morning when fall actually starts, because in his mind, school and fall are basically the same thing.
Then my daughter asked me another question: "When does daylight saving end?" I wish I could say this is the year that changes, but sadly, it doesn't look like it.

Congress Is Still Trying to Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent
For years, folks over in Washington, D.C., have been trying to pass the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make daylight saving time permanent.
Just this year, the bill once again passed the House, but it remains to be seen if it will finally make it through the Senate and reach the president's desk.
If it passes, it would put an end to our twice-a-year "fall back" and "spring forward" clock changes, and we'd stay on daylight saving time all year long in Montana.
So why would anyone be against that?

Why Year-Round Daylight Saving Time Could Be Complicated
Well, one argument is that it could lead to more early-morning car accidents because it would stay darker longer, especially during the winter months.
Others argue we wouldn't actually save much on energy costs, which is already a bit of a myth when it comes to daylight saving time anyway.
But one of the biggest issues is simply the size of America. We're a massive country, and keeping everyone on daylight saving time year-round would benefit some parts of the country while making things a whole lot harder for others.
Oh, and by the way, daylight saving time ends Sunday, November 1, at 2 a.m., so don't forget!
