New Memorial Stadium Rules You Need to Know

This fall, if you're heading to a football game at Memorial Stadium, there are some new rules you need to know before you walk through the gates.

Great Falls Public Schools has made some changes at Memorial Stadium after ongoing problems at games this season, including a recent incident near Great Falls High School.

What You Can And Can't Bring Into Memorial Stadium

GFPS says the goal behind the changes is pretty simple: keeping students, players, and fans safe.

Some of the changes are pretty noticeable, and honestly, they're pretty common sense.

Students will no longer be allowed to bring backpacks or bags into the stadium. Adults can still bring a bag, but it will need to be clear and may be searched by event staff.

There are also new rules about where students can sit, who can be inside the stadium without an adult, and what happens if you leave the stadium during a game.

But the biggest change might be what happens after the final whistle.

Expect More Enforcement At Memorial Stadium

Spectators will no longer be allowed onto the field after the game. Instead, everyone will be asked to quietly leave the stadium and head home.

You'll also notice an increased police presence at games. If students stick around after the game instead of leaving, they may be asked to head out.

There are probably going to be some hiccups as these new rules are put into place, especially for people who have been coming to games for years and are used to doing things the old way.

We've put together a photo gallery with all of the new rules you need to know before heading to Memorial Stadium, so you can take a look and make sure you're following them when you get there.
