5 Montana Colleges Are Some Of The Highest Rated In America
When it comes to college in Montana, most people immediately think of the two big schools, the University of Montana in Missoula and Montana State University in Bozeman.
Well, recently WalletHub took a look at over 800 colleges across America, and neither one of those colleges was the highest rated college in the state.
In all actuality, the University of Montana didn't even make the list, so go ahead and crow all you want Bobcat fans.

How Did WalletHub Rank All 800 Colleges?
To determine their rankings, WalletHub looked at metrics like student life and campus safety, but they also considered success after graduation along with how difficult it is to get in and the cost of tuition.
When it comes to the top-rated colleges in Montana, there were only 5 that made WalletHub's list for 2025.
However, only one made the top 500, for which they showed the scores of their metrics along with a final ranked score, which you'll see in the gallery below.👇
