Love Exploring detailed locations across different states that have some of the most terrifying and haunted places in America, and only one location from Montana made the list.
The town of Bannack sprang into being in the 1860s, when prospector John White hit on gold in the region. Though the mining site is long deserted, some 60 historical structures still remain in the wilds of southwestern Montana, drawing tourists fascinated with gold-rush history and ghosts. The spirit of a young girl has been spotted around the old courthouse (eventually turned into Hotel Meade), and annual ghost tours are held come fall.
Is Bannack the most terrifying place in Montana, or perhaps it's this abandoned town in northeastern Montana?👇
