Where Montana Ranked for Zombie Apocalypse Survival

While the zombie craze might not be quite as massive as it was back in the 2010s during the height of The Walking Dead, there are still plenty of people who love zombie movies and shows.

And apparently, some people are taking it pretty seriously too.

What It Would Take To Survive A Zombie Outbreak?

According to a 2023 study, 1 in 10 Americans believe a zombie outbreak is actually inevitable. So naturally, the question becomes, how would Montana hold up if it ever happened?

Preparing for zombies takes a little more than just stockpiling food, guns, and ammo. You’ve also got to think about medical supplies, ways to restock, transportation, and how quickly you could move if things went sideways.

Apparently the folks over at Canada Casino had some time on their hands and decided to rank every state based on which ones would have the best chance of surviving a zombie apocalypse.

Honestly, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Alaska and Hawaii both landed in the top 10. Although I’ll admit, Hawaii ranked lower than I expected and even lower than Montana.

Alaska taking the number one spot makes a lot of sense, though. Plenty of hunters, lots of open space, and let’s be honest, the cold alone might freeze the zombies before they even get close enough to bite anybody.

You’d think Montana would be sitting right behind them in the number two spot, but sadly, that’s not the case.

Check out the gallery below to see where Montana ranked compared to the rest of America when it comes to surviving the zombie apocalypse.
