
Another Random Fire Happens Overnight in Great Falls
With most jobs, staying busy can be a good thing by making your day or shift go by that much faster. I personally don't think that applies when it comes to our law enforcement or emergency services personnel.
And in Great Falls, it seems that our local heroes are being tested more than usual this year with the Great Falls Fire Rescue division. House fires have been happening at an extraordinarily high rate in the Electric City.
Another Random Fire Happens Overnight in Great Falls
After reports last week of two fires within the city limits, two more reports have already happened into the new month of September. On Monday, crews were dispatched for the report of a fire at 2 Prospect Drive.

According to the release from GFFR:
The occupant of the home was working on a boat motor in the garage when the motor sparked gasoline vapors, causing the fire to start.
The individual received burns trying to extinguish the flames and was transported to Benefis East for treatment. Both the garage and home had extensive damage and is unlivable at the current time.

GFFR Back at it Wednesday Morning for Another Fire in Great Falls
Crews were again dispatched this morning in Great Falls, September 3, 2025, to a reported grass fire involving a garage and vehicle at 1218 8th Ave North. After some difficulty with access, GFFR crews were able to extinguish the fire with limited damage.
In the news release, the department stated that the "cause of the fire has not been determined; however, it was confirmed by witnesses that the fire started in the grass on the exterior of the garage." No injuries to people or pets were reported for the incident.
