Rant: Great Falls Drivers Need to STOP Doing This
When Did Red Become Green in Great Falls for Stop Lights?
I've probably ranted, commented, flew off the handle or even maybe discussed this topic before.
And I hate that there really is something that I dislike about Great Falls and this community I have called home for multiple decades. Because for the most part, our town is awesome. I wholeheartedly believe it. To my core.
And I also believe we have some of the worst and most entitled drivers on our streets in the state.
Someone Is Going to Have a Really Bad Day One Day in the Falls
I'm really not sure when this became a thing. Sure, we've all gone through a stoplight when it wasn't exactly the pretty bright shade of green. Or even yellow. Probably closer to amber honestly.
But this is totally different. Waiting at the stop light to make a turn, you will for sure see one, maybe two vehicles wait for oncoming traffic to stop for the red, then make the turn. Even when they know the turn light will give them the first chance to get across the other lanes.
What. The. Heck. Great Falls.
Nothing is That Important That Can't Wait Another 2 Minutes in Great Falls
So, there it is. That's my rant. Stop running red lights when attempting to turn off the street. That seems simple enough. But it won't be. Which is scary, especially with a new batch of drivers hitting our roads with school starting. And those that are trying to learn.
It doesn't take an extraordinarily long time to get anywhere in this city. Let's get back to being a little more mindful about our driving in the Falls. Because a wreck will certainly set you back a few minutes to get to that appointment.
