Have you ever heard the story of Langville, Montana? I've lived here my entire life, and I've never heard about it until today. There's a good reason for that.

With the help of Discovering Montana and Paranormal Catalogue, I was able to piece this freaky little Montana urban legend together.

Montana True Crime: The Lana Harding Murder

Here's the legend of Langville, Montana:

(Keep in mind, one article says the town was possibly on the eastern plains of the state, while the other article claims it's completely on the other side of the state between Missoula and the border with Idaho.)

  • In the early 1900's, something happened in the town that is said to have "turned the residents inside out." and left them scattered all over town. The town was then abandoned
  • It's said that the town used to show up on Google Maps as shown in this article on Paranormal Catalogue
  • It's said the government is trying to wipe the town from existence because of the horrors that happened there
  • Others say it's the Mandela Effect
  • And another story says that Langville, Montana exists on another timeline, and somehow, the 2 timelines split, then merged together causing all of the confusion. That sounds like the plot for the latest Marvel flick.
  • The legend was even mentioned in the 2016 Ghost Busters movie, bringing attention back to the legend
