You Can Bring Thanksgiving Dinner To Work

If you're unlucky enough to have to work on Thanksgiving Day in Montana, then you're probably trying to figure out how to get some of that Thanksgiving Day goodness at work.

Have You Heard? The Train Station In Yellowstone Is Real, Sort Of

I know what you're probably thinking, "Have it AFTER work", or maybe it's "Bring a container and heat it up on break", or maybe you're thinking of some kind of crock or other cooking gadget to keep things warm while you work, like this electric lunch box heater from Amazon:

What If You Didn't NEED Anything Like This?

A lot of people in Montana have a Stanley Cup. The trendy thing (or, what they're trying to make trendy) is to stack your Thanksgiving Dinner into your Stanley Cup.

What Is Montana's Favorite Cup? The Answer Will Probably Surprise You

You read that right. Why would you put a drink in your Stanley Cup when you can pack it full of food. I know you can't see it, but can you feel how far back my eyes are rolling? I grew up with a farmer dad who had a Stanley Thermos. We'd put coffee, soups, the like in there. Never once did we think of packing it full of food, but I digress.

If you'd like to use your Stanley Cup that way for Thanksgiving, here's what Mashed suggests:

  • Remove the straw
  • Fill it with VERY hot water and let your Stanley sit for around 5 minutes
  • Make sure your food is piping hot
  • Stack your Thanksgiving feast in the cup in any order you like

They recommend stacking small amounts of everything over and over in the cup so you don't have to dig around for your favorite food on Thanksgiving. They warn it's very thin. I have to wonder if you'd even have enough food in there to make it worth the time it takes to stack it.

NO WAY Would I Do This

A drink cup is for drinks, a food holder is for foods. You don't see me drinking off my plate (very often), but to each their own.
