We all know that the Holiday season is not the best time to be counting calories.

From office parties to family get-togethers, part of the fun of the season is all of the delicious foods that we get to indulge in. For many Montanans, getting together and cooking and baking is a tradition that has been passed down over the years, and in the end, it means a whole lot of sugary treats to partake in.

Of course, certain treats scream the holidays, and when it comes to the most popular holiday flavors, according to the folks over at SWNS Digital, the majority of us prefer gingerbread. salted caramel, and peppermint.

However, what is really shocking is the number of sweet treats that the average Montanan will consume from now until the end of the year.

I'm not sure how many calories that equals out to, but I'm guessing it's probably more than the recommended daily allotment. Of course, certain folks have their favorites. We always make the little peanut butter cookies with the Hershey Kisses in the middle along with peanut butter fudge with the intent to hand it out to family and friends only to eat most of it ourselves.
