  • Managing the Administrative Services Department: You will work closely with all aspects of the city of Great Falls, including working with the Animal Shelter, City Clerk’s Office, Communications, Neighborhood Councils, and Mansfield Events divisions.
  • Policy: Ensure policies are executed effectively across all departments.
  • Operational: Review administrative matters and recommend improvements.
  • Budget: Assist with developing the city’s annual and capital operating budgets.
  • Public: Represent the city at commission, board, and community meetings, communicating essential information and ensuring that the city's philosophy is represented appropriately.
  • Collective Bargaining and Labor Relations: Assist with managing collective bargaining and labor relations and handling grievance processes.
  • Acting City Manager: In the City Manager's absence, the Deputy City Manager assumes the role to ensure the smooth functioning of the city's operations.
  • Educational Background: Equivalent to a master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: At least five years of experience as a city department head or in a similar managerial position focusing on municipal budgeting and program management. Project management experience or certification is preferred.
