On Wednesday night, President Trump took the podium in Kalispell, Montana for a Midterm Rally and covered a variety of topics.

One of the highlights of the evening was the breaking news that President Trump shared with the audience.

Department of War is Coming to Montana

President Trump covered a variety of topics with a big focus on supporting house candidate Aaron Flint.

But one of the biggest headlines of the night was the announcement from President Trump that the Department of War is coming to Montana:

"Montana will continue to play a role in the development and testing of cutting-edge military technology and for that we have a little breaking news, you've wanted it very much. Tim (Sheehy) wanted it, Steve (Daines) wanted it, Greg (Dianforte) wanted it, everybody wanted it from here. The rest of our country maybe won't be thrilled cause a lot of other people wanted it also, but I'm pleased to inform you and announce that right here in Montana the Department of War is going to establish a new super range for testing advanced weapons and technologies including potential autunomous weapons, space and electronic warfare technology, supersonics, and hypersonics. Montana will help ensure the American military always reigns supreme, so you're getting it everybody, will you please leave me alone? Leave me alone, Tim!"

I've heard of ranges before but this super range must be something special, especially if it's going to be used for autonomous weapons.

Is the future of warfare going to be revolutionized here in Montana?

Autunomous Weapons Testing in Montana

Being that Great Falls is home to Malmstrom Airforce Base, the Sentinel Project and is the new home of Janicki, it should come as no surprise that Montana would be the new home of a super range for autunomous weapons.

And if you think about it, it was probably only a matter of time.

At the time of this publishing, details are limited as to where this range will be located and when it's expected to be in operation but I would expect all of us to hear more from the state of Montana sooner than later.

What do you think about testing autonomous weapons in Montana? Is this a good addition to all of the warheads that call Montana home? Will this be a new opportunity that can bring jobs to Montana?
