3 Montana Hunters Survive Close 2 Grizzly Encounters
You can call me crazy but I don't care who you are: if you ever find yourself face-to-face with a grizzly bear, you're gonna be scared. As for how scared, well, that's between you and your own life experiences.
If you're experienced, the encounter might feel like a walk in the park but for someone who's never been in that situation, it could feel like a near-death experience or an inevitable demise.
Three Montana Hunters Come Face To Face With A Grizzly
I don't know about you but if I ever encounter a grizzly bear, I'd want to make sure I have the appropriate defense mechanism(s) to protect myself. I'm talking bear spray, heavy firearms, shoot - throw a flamethrower in there while you're at it.
It's why I marvel at two recent incidents involving three brave hunters and grizzly bears AND because all three hunters were bow hunting. And sure, bows and arrows aren't all they had on them but I still wouldn't be opposed to a flamethrower.

Two separate incidents took place with the first happening on September 29th. According to Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, two hunters were hunting near an elk carcass when they came face to face with a grizzly. The report says that the two hunters screamed at the bear before firing off their handguns which was enough to defuse the situation without incident.

The second encounter was a bit more frightening and took place on October 3rd when a grizzly reportedly charged at a lone hunter. According to the report, the hunter was able to react quickly and spray the grizzly with bear spray which resulted in the bear running away.
