Does Montana Offer A Slower Way Of Life?

Don't ask me why, but I've been on a recent kick of watching the HGTV show Living Big Sky.

This reality-based show follows families uprooting and moving to the Treasure State.

There are generally several reasons why folks are moving here, but one thing all these folks have in common is that they are seeking a slower pace of life.

But this raises the question: Does Montana really offer a slower lifestyle?

Living In Montana

I was born and raised in Montana and have lived in this state my entire life, except for about six years, which I spent primarily in Colorado.

I feel like I have a pretty solid understanding of Montana and what this state has to offer, and when people say that it's a slower pace or a slower way of life here, I don't know that I agree.

Yes, you don't have the traffic and the overall hustle and bustle of a bigger city, but is the lifestyle slower?

The Montana Lifestyle

Generally, if you call Montana home, you enjoy the outdoors and everything it offers.

You also might be into seclusion and not having the hustle and bustle of a busy city.

But even with those two lifestyle factors, does that mean life rolls slower here in Montana?

I don't think it does, and in my opinion, it all depends on the individual and how they live their life.

Let me put it this way: Is your pace of life really slower if you work multiple jobs and are constantly on the go?

No, you most certainly don't.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to how you choose to live your life, not where you choose to live your life.

Sure, Montana may offer the idea of a slower pace of life, but at the end of the day, it's a lifestyle decision.
