In July 2023, an Arizona teen who had been missing since the age of 14 walked into the Havre police station.

The girl told police she wanted to clear her name and turned herself in and at the time was reportedly staying with a man in Havre.

According to a recent press release from the Montana Attorney General's office, the man linked to this missing Arizona teenager has pleaded guilty in Hill County District Court to one count of sexual abuse of children.

The charges are related to child sexual abuse materials that were found on his cell phone last year when he was arrested.

Montana Man Charged

Edmund Davis, 37, admitted to having the materials on his electronic devices.

The devices were discovered in July 2023 when the Havre Police Department served a search warrant on Davis's apartment.

The search warrant was served after they learned that the Glendale, Arizona girl who had been missing since 2019 was living in the residence.

When officers arrived at the home to serve the search warrant, they noticed Davis throwing the cell phone into the trash and replacing items on top of it to try to hide it.

Edmund Davis Sentencing

Davis's sentencing is scheduled for December 16, 2024, and the state is asking for a sentence of 100 years in Montana State Prison, with 50 years suspended and 25-year parol restriction.

Assistant Attorneys General Selene Koepke and John Nesbitt are prosecuting the case, which was investigated by the Havre Police Department, Glendale (Ariz.) Police Department, and the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation.
