Credentialing and Registration System

The changes deal with the Credentialling and Registration system which is referred to as CARS.

This program aims to modernize driver services statewide.

Here are a few of the benefits.

  • Expanded online services.
  • Streamlined electronic payment options.
  • Quicker turnaround times for vehicle-related transactions.

The program will also enhance the functionality for law enforcement, car dealerships, insurance companies, and various county operations.

We have had incredible success with the CARS program so far, and I look forward to working with counties across the state to make this final rollout a success, remarked MVD Administrator Laurie Bakri. This system will provide the counties with what they need to better serve their customers and improve efficiency.

The new CARS platform, which was developed in collaboration with FAST enterprises, has been utilized by 18 other states.
