On Thursday, May 12 2022, Great Falls Fire Rescue conducted an “Oath of Office “ceremony at fire station 1 to swear in 8 new firefighters that had successfully passed their 9 month probationary period. Three new officers received their new gold badges as well.

Great Falls Mayor Bob Kelly conducted the swearing in ceremony for the 8 new firefighters as their friends and family watched on as they received their well-deserved badges signifying the start of a career in the fire service. After Mayor Kelly introduced the men to the community as firefighters, their families pinned on their new badges and collar insignia. The new firefighters sworn in were Brady Srna, Josh Oatman, Alex Richard, Chris Lee, Chase Perry, Destin Wassmann, Cody Seccombe, and Josh Royan.

Under the direction of Fire Chief Jeremy Jones, Captain Steve Tucker recited his oath of office and was minted a new Captain at GFFR. His wife Taylor applied his new gold badge and collar brass as the crowd looked on and applauded in approval when she finished.

Chief Jones announced to the crowd that two new Lieutenants would also be joining the officer ranks at GFFR as Joe Tinsley and Chris Newman were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. The two new officers recited their oath and received their new badges.
