We are learning more today about last weeks IRS raid at Highwood Creek Outfitters here in Great Falls.  Owner Tom VanHoose tells 560 KMON that the IRS seized nearly 13,000 4473 forms from his shop that date back all the way to 2012.

What does a 4473 check?
Form 4473 contains the purchaser's name, address, date of birth, government-issued photo ID, National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) background check transaction number, and a short affidavit stating that the purchaser is eligible to purchase firearms under federal law.   It does not provide any financial information.
The original search warrant reportedly stated that they were after financial records. VanHoose now has a theory as to what the IRS might really be after.  He thinks it has something to do with the arm brace ban put in place by the Biden administration and the ATF. An arm brace is  an accessory that attaches to the back of a gun and straps to the forearm, anchoring and lengthening the weapon and allowing the shooter to shoot one-handed more easily. As of June 1, 2023 those that did not register their arm brace with the feds are in violation.  VanHoose now thinks the IRS used him "as a ruse to get in the door" so they could check 4473 forms.  The gun shop owner says many residents who have purchased from him in the past have come in asking if the government now has information on them.
Support has been pouring in for the Great Falls gun shop.  The owner says he's gotten emails of support from people as far away as Hawaii and Europe.  He says, locals are "pissed" at what happened and they plan to hold a huge rally at his store.
A RALLY IN SUPPORT
The rally will be held July 1 at 10am in the store parking lot.,and VanHoose says people need to start standing up for their rights.   They are calling it a Patriot Rally with a theme.  That theme is SUBO.  It stands for, Stand up or Bend Over.
