What Is Great Falls Obsession With Olive Garden?
First and foremost, I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers with this article, but I would honestly like to know what the obsession with Olive Garden is.
It never fails: whenever the topic of restaurants comes up in Electric City, Olive Garden is in the conversation.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Olive Garden as much as the next guy, but out of all the restaurants out there, why Olive Garden?
Why Great Falls Doesn't Have An Olive Garden?
First of all, it takes a lot of money.
I'm not saying there aren't people in this community that can afford it, but it is one heck of an investment.
According to the website Mobile Cuisine, you have to have a net worth of $1 million to qualify for an Olive Garden franchise.
Also, from what I found online, the parent company, Darden Restaurants, doesn't offer many franchise opportunities in the United States. Most of their franchise opportunities are overseas or international.
Oh, and probably the biggest hurdle, the population has to be at least 100,000 people.
So, all you folks out there who don't want the town to grow, you can kiss your chances of an Olive Garden moving in goodbye.
I'm unsure if this is the most up-to-date information, but I found a breakdown of site requirements for all Olive Garden from 2021.
