Stimulus Check Update: Will Montana Taxpayers Ever Get Their Dividend Checks?
The holidays are long gone and some of us are still "recovering" from all of the fun expenses that the most wonderful time of the year brings. And sure, some of us look forward to tax returns but isn't there supposed to be more money on the way?
When Are We Getting Another Stimulus Check?
You might remember a little thing from some time ago called DOGE or the Department of Government Efficiency. One of the main responsibilities of DOGE was to "trim the fat" around various agencies in an effort to save as much money as possible.

As for tariff refund checks, White House officials say Congressional approval would be needed before anything could get sent out. According to USA Today, White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett says that proposal could arrive in 2026.
"I would expect that in the new year, the president will bring forth a proposal to Congress to make that happen."
So, Are We Getting Another Check Or Not?
The short-term answer is no; there's nothing on the horizon that indicates we'll be getting any money or checks any time soon. But if Congress receives a proposal as Hassett suggests they will this year, we could see some money coming in sooner than later. Our prediction? Late 2026.
