This one will get your blood boiling. What is it?
Don't look now but the price of gas has shot back up again. In Great Falls, regular unleaded is $3.20. That's 20 cents higher than just last week and nearly 40 cents higher than just a month ago.
Why?
According to AAA, there are two factors weighing in . The first is a tighter supply and the second might be because of the mild winter in parts of the country has caused people to get out more than they usually would. And AAA says if the robust demand continues prices will keep going up. The biggest jump in prices took place in Colorado where the cost for a gallon of regular unleaded jumped 26 cents in just a week. AAA also says China opening up their economy again after covid lockdowns is also driving the robust demand.

The Average price for a gallon of regular unleaded nationwide is $3.50. Montana still remains below the national average where it has been for the past several months. Statewide, the price is now $3.23. And that's up 26 cents from a month ago and up 11 cents from just last week.
Those who have a diesel are feeling even more pain at the pump. The average price of a gallon of diesel is $4.43. Here in Great Falls it is $4.32.
