That is until we get the quote.

The app wanted to charge us $50 to go to the airport!

You might be thinking, "Jason, it's early in the morning, and that's a long ride."

We live very close to the airport, less than five minutes away.

Is that worth $50? I think not!

To put this in perspective, the weekly parking rate in the daily lot at Great Falls International Airport is $35.

The value lot is just $25.

Where does Uber get off charging $50 for a less than five-minute ride?

I'm mad at myself that I did not just do this first.

I went to the local taxi company's website, BlackedOut 406, and checked their pricing.

The same ride that Uber wanted $50 for only cost us about $20.

That sounds more like it!

All the more reason to shop local and support local this holiday season!

Don't cave and pay exorbitant prices because you think you have to.

Do your research and shop around!
