Let's get this out of the way right off the bat: I don't condone animal abuse, harming animals, or animal cruelty. At all.

Only a monster would go out of his way to harm an animal in real life and not feel any remorse. Everything we're talking about today is all in fun and of course, hypothetical.

Animals vs. Humans: Who Is Better At Fighting?

I'll be the first to admit that I am no combat expert... in any fashion. When I was a kid, the furthest I got into karate was like the orange belt with a few tips and outside of that, any other form of rough housing or brawling was done with friends or school bullies.

I grew up playing sports, exercise when I can, and am your average father of three at 6'2, 224 lbs.

All of that said, my mind does wander and I randomly remembered when people debated whether or not one hundred men could take on a gorilla in a fight.

It got me wondering: "How many different animals in Montana could I hold my own against in a fight?"

What Would The Hypothetical Fight Rules Be Between Man & Animal?

Now, as I'm sure you've imagined, there would have to be rules and regulations. For example, the fight would have to somehow take place inside an enclosure that's similar to the UFC... "The Octagon" if you will, with nowhere to run or hide.

Here are the rules for this hypothetical match-up between myself and the animals of Montana.

  1. Match takes place in an indoor octagon-shaped enclosure.
  2. No killing. Combatants can only win via decision, submission, or knockout.
  3. Five five-minute rounds per match, combat gloves weighing 4-6 oz are optional. In this case, the human (Chris/me) would hypothetically wear them.

Now that we have the ground rules established, let's look at the seven Montana animals that I think I could be in a fight under the rules we talked about.

Can you beat them?

Do you think you can step into the octagon with any of these creatures and walk away a winner? The winner must win by knockout, submission, or decision only... no killing!
