Wolves taking livestock in Teton County
Wolves are on the move in Teton County. So far this year, George Edwards of the Montana Livestock Board says wolves have killed four calves. The attacks are coming near Gibson Damn and Bynum.
To date, Edwards says about $4,400 has been paid out for the loss of livestock in Teton County. Edwards says this is not all that unusual, he says the wolves have been in that area for years.
Edwards says they are seeing an uptick in grizzly bear activity around browning with several ranchers telling him they are losing cattle to grizzlies. There are several ongoing investigations in the Browning area.
