If you made it out to the 2024 Hootenanny in downtown Great Falls, you already know it was a packed house!

The show kicked off right after the Fourth of July parade with the Melissa Lynn Band.

Immediately following the Melisa Lynn band was an up-and-coming Montana artist by the name of Tanner Laws.

And we can't forget about the headliner, Rodney Atkins!

Despite of a couple of heavy rain showers that moved through downtown Great Falls, the Hootenanny was a success.

Thousands of people were packed onto the streets to watch the concert.

4th Of July Hootenanny Downtown Great Falls

Similar to most of show business, much of what you see from the crowd is smoke and mirrors.

But what isn't smoking mirrors is all of the hard work and dedication that goes into making the downtown Great Falls hootenanny a success.

I wasn't there late at night leading up to the event or first thing the morning of the 4th to see the full set-up taking place.

But I did have the opportunity to hang out backstage.

So I figured I'd snag a couple of pictures and show you what it looks like behind the scenes during the Fourth of July Hootenanny in downtown Great Falls.
