Montana is no stranger to frigid temperatures and volatile weather throughout the year.

Although we've had a couple of cold snaps and snowy days over the last few years, 2025 is proving to be a bit of a doozy.

If my memory serves me correctly, it's been about six or seven years since an arctic blast lasted more than a few days here in Montana.

So, it raises the question: Will this arctic blast be enough to make new residents think twice about living in Montana?

During the pandemic, numerous folks flooded Montana, hoping to live a quieter lifestyle and enjoy nature.

But the natural beauty of Montana most certainly comes at a price.

So, the question remains; will this recent code snap force any of Montana's new residents back out of the state?

No, I'm not advocating for pushing people out of Montana nor am I saying they're not welcome, I'm just curious how these new folks are handling a real Montana winter.

I was born and raised in this state and I'm not gonna lie winters like this make me wonder why in the heck I moved back to Montana. haha

As I mentioned above, Montana winters are not for the faint of heart and can certainly put a damper on your lifestyle.
