Dog Food Shipped to Montana Under Important New Recall

Now, we have to be on the lookout for our fur babies thanks to an important new recall.

Popular Dog Food Brand Issues Important Recall

The latest recall affects our beloved dogs as Fromm but there is a silver lining here: there have been no reported injuries or illnesses from the recalled product.

According to an announcement from the FDA, "3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet canned dog food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pâté Wet canned dog food" are being recalled due to "potential metal contamination."

As you'd imagine, dogs consuming metal can present a variety of issues including choking, loss of appetite, vomiting, lethargy, or stomach discomfort according to the FDA.

"Metal, when consumed in large amounts, can lead to gastrointestinal upset, partial blockage, and a risk of intestinal obstruction," the announcement says.

"Consumers whose dogs have consumed any of the affected product and are exhibiting these symptoms should contact their veterinarian."
