Cold and Flu Medicine Recall
Costco recently published a Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion recall.
The notice on Costco's website attributed the recall to foreign material contamination.
The release did not go into detail about what this foreign contamination actually is but nonetheless it's a bit concerning.
This recall marks the second such incident for Costco in less than a month!
The last recall consisted of 8,600 boxes of Kirkland Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion Day and Night packs.
Recall Details
LNK International Inc., the manufacturer of Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion medication, said the recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution.
- The over-the-counter product was sold between October 30th and November 30th of 2024.
- The item number is 1729556.
- The lot code is P140082.
The Costco locations impacted are across the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of illnesses related to the medication at this time.
If you recently purchased the Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion medication from a Costco in the Midwest or Southeast, stop using it immediately and return it to your local Costco.
The company will provide a full refund for your purchase.
