The famous warehouse club Costco has announced a few changes to its membership structure here in Montana.
Membership fees at Costco have remained unchanged since 2017; however, as prices continue to climb and inflation increases, the retail giant has been forced to make some changes to its memberships.

Impact on Costco Memberships
Costco has announced that it's basic and premium membership fees will increase on September 1 of 2024.
This marks the first price hike in membership since 2017.
- Basic Memberships will go from $60-$65 annually.
- Premium memberships will go from $120-$130 a year.
- If you're part of the cool crowd that has an executive membership through Costco, these annual memberships range from $1000 to $1250.
These memberships give you enhanced benefits, discounts, and rewards for purchases.
Comparison with Competitors
Sam's Club also recently bumped their rates.
- Basic Memberships: $50
- Premium: $110
Consistency in Popular Products
Despite the increase in membership fees, don't worry; the iconic $1.50 hotdog special is not going anywhere.
I'm sure they are losing an incredible amount of money by maintaining this deal, but selfishly, I'm glad it's not going anywhere!
This deal has been in place since 1985, believe it or not.
