Cascade County Deputies Lend A Hand To Students In Frigid Cold
We all know that harsh weather elements go hand in hand with living in Montana and can make for some pretty hazardous travel conditions.
One of the worst possible nightmares for students traveling to school on Wednesday morning became a reality.
To put it in perspective, on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, the temperatures in the morning were around 25° below zero for many areas in Central Montana.
Needless to say, sliding off the side of the road in these brutal conditions is the last thing anyone wants to happen.
Thankfully, the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office was there to help!
Lending a Helping Hand
Once on the scene, Cascade County Undersheriff Van Dyken realizes the only way to get these students to school is to load them into squad cars and drive them.
Undersheriff Van Dyke called for all other available deputies to respond to the scene and begin transporting students to school.
Honestly, thinking back to when I was a kid, this would've been a pretty cool way to get to school!
But the assistance doesn't stop there!
