Photos of What You Missed at the 2026 Great Falls Gun Show

The 2026 Great Falls Gun Show took place this past weekend and for me, it was my first foray into the Montana firearm scene.

I'd been to a few gun shows down in Texas but didn't know what to expect going to one in Montana. Would it be busy? Would the inventory be vast or limited? How would the people be?

Great Falls Gun Show 2026: A Family-Friendly Experience

What was supposed to be a father-son trip to the gun show, my wife and daughters tagged along out of curiosity.

Whether it was to spend time with me, their dear ol' dad/husband, or it was to keep me from spending our emergency savings, I didn't care - I was just happy to have my loved ones in tow while I go into what I consider to be my "candy store."

And let me tell you something - I was so glad they came; I didn't expect this particular show to be so family-friendly.

My kiddos even left with their own firearms - "fly guns" that kill pesky flies with a plastic swatter that launches out. Hey, it was only $5 and it's a great way to teach them the very basics of gun safety, right?

But throughout the event, we were greeted with smiles, folks were kind to my family, and it felt like everyone there was a friend we hadn't seen in a while.

I honestly wish more people would give these kinds of shows a chance to learn more about firearms, self-defense, and of course, meet the kind folks that inhabit these events. Unfortunately, I've read several negative comments about other gun shows over the years, you have to wonder if those people have ever given it a chance.
