36-year-old Timothy McDowell has been arrested on several charges including the alleged raping of his daughter on several occasions.  He is facing five felonies including sexual assault, assault with a weapon and assault of a minor causing injury.

According to court documents, the now 15-year-old daughter says she was raped several times starting at age eleven.  She told police her father would do sexual things to her on a nearly daily basis.  She says he penetrated her on several occasions.  He would force her to touch his privates numerous times.  She also told police that he would use his penis both inside and out and it caused her physical pain to the hips, legs and vaginal areas.  She told police that when he was raping her, he would often  punch her in the stomach to keep her quiet.  He also reportedly threatened her saying, if she ever told anyone he would hurt her more.

McDowell is well known to prosecutors.

He has two current cases pending.  One on a strangulation charge and another for carrying a concealed weapon and drug charges.

He also has prior convictions for criminal endangerment.  He was sentenced to 60 months in state prison back in 2007.  He was convicted on a criminal possession of dangerous drugs back in 2020.  He received a suspended sentence in this case.  He has been in the Cascade County Jail since being arrested on August 30th of last year on the strangulation charge.

He bond has been set at $200,000.  He faces as much as life in prison.
