Great Falls Police Officer Shot Last Week Identified.
The Great Falls police officer shot last week has now been identified as Tanner Lee. He is home recovering after being shot in the arm and in his bullet proof vest. Lee had surgery last week to repair his arm and police say he will likely have to have more surgery later.
Lee is a four year veteran of the force. He is married and has two children including a newborn. Officer Lee is also a graduate of Great Falls High and Montana State University. In 2019 Lee was recognized with a GFPD Lifesaving Award for actions he took with two other officers to save the life of a suicidal female.
Officer Shot March 7.
On March 7 Lee was attempting to pull over a vehicle on a routine traffic stop when the occupants of the vehicle took off running. Lee pursued and was shot by the driver near 12th street and 5th Avenue South. The suspect in the case is Jacob Bradley who was out on probation at the time of the shooting. He was later shot in the head by another officer and is still in the hospital today. A female passenger in the car was also arrested. She is Nikki Snell. She is also a convicted felon who served time in the federal prison system. She was charged with illegally having a gun in her possession and drug related charges. The drug was reportedly meth.
The investigation is being conducted by the Montana Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation. The DOC authorized the release of the officer shot yesterday.
